BBC television has been doing a series on Obsession including OCD. I haven’t seen the shows but the website has some interesting articles and links.
Speaking of TV and OCD have you seen Monk yet? I find it pretty entertaining actually. I had my doubts when I first heard about it. But they are pretty accurate with the depictions of somebody with severe OCD. Though Monk seems to have most of the different forms. It is a comedy but it, so far, has been not poking fun. I recommend it.
I remember some years ago, back on the old OCD-L mail list when As Good As It Gets was first playing in theaters, there was some controversy over whether this was a good thing or not. Many were concerned that Jack Nickelson’s character, Melvin’s anti-social, homophobic tendencies would be attributed to his OCD. I didn’t feel that way and found the movie entertaining and have recommended it often to folks wanting to know a little bit about what it is like to live with OCD.
